Sunbrella® is exclusive fabric with increased water resistance, high breathability and easy maintenance. It is light and flexible. Even the flag on the moon is made by the company producing Sunbrella®!
How did it all start? Sunbrella® was developed in the sixties with the intention that the fabrics were not only functional but also beautiful. Soon the Sunbrella fabrics were used for shading, canvas and sails and also for interior and exterior upholstery. The production of Sunbrella fabrics focuses on construction details that provide resistance to fading and damage from sunlight or chemical influences.
The Sunbrella material is pleasant to touch, has excellent environmental properties, is durable and easy to care for - wherever it is used.
Sunbrella fabrics are produced around the world. The largest production is in the USA (South Carolina) and in France and China. Sunbrella® is always produced to the same standards and delivered to where it is needed.
In the production of Sunbrella fabrics, renewable (solar) sources are used and production is sustainable - no waste is sent to landfills! The Sunbrella material is fully recyclable. In 2010, the company launched the "Recycle My Sunbrella" project, to which every consumer can contribute by returning the non usable Sunbrella® to the production.
Sunbrella fabrics have OEKO-TEX Certificate (Class II - Textiles that have direct contact with skin), GREENGUARD Gold Certificate (as a low-emission product contributes to better air quality) and many other certificates that guarantee the most environmentally friendly conditions in the production process, honest work and fair conditions for employees and also no use of animal products.
How is Sunbrella® maintained?
Sunbrella fabrics are designed to meet the highest design and performance standards. For easy daily care:
1. Carefully remove the dirt.
2. Wipe off with a damp cloth or use a soft natural soap.
3. Allow the solution to penetrate the fabric for a short while.
4. Rinse thoroughly with water.
5. Let dry in the air.
