I wasn’t able to find healthy, high-quality and ethical shoes.
So I made my own.
So I made my own.
Without these people, Ahinsa shoes would have never existed

Nina and Tomáš Klimpera
Lukáš’s parents, who have always said: “Fortune favors the brave.” That’s why our founder wasn’t afraid to take matters into his own hands. Their lifelong diligence and hard-working nature are still an inspiration to him today.Â
Lukáš Klimpera’s patients
Their needs led Lukáš on his search for a healthy stride.
The first pair of shoes
As a physiotherapist, Lukáš used to teach people how to walk healthily. But what was the use? As soon as therapy ended, they’d slip back into shoes that were constricting and hindering them in their natural movement.Â
That’s why he set out to find better footwear – for them, for himself and for his family. But he couldn’t find shoes that were:
• healthyÂ
• high-quality
• and cruelty-free to people and animalsÂ
But he didn’t give up. He discovered high-quality European materials, and tested and researched them. This is how the first pair of Ahinsa shoes was made - healthy sandals for Lukáš’s 3-year-old son.
The beginning was rough
Our first shoe-making machines were old enough to remember World War I – a friend of ours even welded one together by hand for us. Negotiating with suppliers was also tough.Â
“Of course we’ll deliver our material to you,” they said to Lukáš as a newcomer in the trade, “you’ll just have to buy a kilometer of it.” And so it happened that a whole kilometer of excellent material made its way to our tiny workshop in Moravia, where we slowly began to cut material from it to make our first shoes.Â
And it was worth it. Today we make shoes for the whole world, and thanks to us, thousands of people are walking healthily.
Why barefoot?
Because it’s the most natural way to walk
Nature has made our feet pliant and strong – all we have to do is rebound. That’s why we make shoes that respect nature’s work. Light, flexible barefoot shoes with enough space for a natural rebound.Â
• They stimulate brain centers.Â
• They activate long muscle chains that pass through the whole body.
• They strengthen the deep stabilization system.
Free your feet. Put on a pair of Ahinsa barefoot shoes.
The Comfort line – for those who want to walk with ease
You might be looking for healthy and comfortable shoes but don’t want to get used to barefoot walking. That’s why we’ve created the Comfort line just for you.
The Comfort line provides your feet with enough space for natural movement while the special foam insole and a layer of Technogel softens your every step.Â
• The shoes will fit you the first time you try them on – no “breaking in” is involved.Â
• You’ll forget that blisters and callouses even exist.Â
• You’ll learn to have a healthy and natural step.
